Hello everyone, As you can tell I have not been holding up to my end of reporting events. SORRY!!! On August 25 & 27th, 2009 4-7pm, Eddy County is holding an enrollment date for those that do not have insurance. The income is to see what that person might pay as an individual which are differenet ranges. it could be anything from $0 dollars to 100 a month. Yes right now there is fed money to help, however this program has been around for 3 years. This was started to help small business owners and we quickly found out there was a lager need and they expanded the coverage to help others in the gap areas. The powers that be have not done a very good job in getting all the citizens the information about the program. This leads us to bring the state here to little old Eddy County to get people enrolled. The 25th is in Carlsbad and the 27th, is in Artesia.

Just a quick update, Over 150 people showed up to apply for this program between Carlsbad and Artesia on August 25 and 27, 2009. Wish there was more but aleast some will get the help they need. Good job to all for spreading the word.

Well did alot of work as requested by the state to get people the the help they need with health insurance, just to have the state in a budget shortfall. This means that we are not going to have enough funds to keep alot of programs going that are really needed.
